Sierra Vista Wedding in Bedford, VA: Jeff+Tracey

Today we’re starting something new that we’ve been wanting to share for a while. We’re launching a new series of blogs that will feature the beautiful weddings of our gorgeous Ashley Grace brides.

First up is Jeff and Tracey’s Sierra Vista wedding in Bedford, VA. We’re going to learn about Tracey’s wedding planning journey and hope to share some tips with you along the way.

How did Jeff propose?

We got engaged in New York City June 2017. Jeff carried the ring in the box in his jeans pocket the whole day as we explored the city waiting for the perfect moment to come up. I could see the box in his pocket and at one point he had reached in his pocket and opened the box so I heard the box close and thought that was the moment he was going to ask, but I was wrong. Jeff proposed later that night after dinner at a beautiful fountain in front of Radio City next to a saxophone player.

What was your experience like in searching for the perfect dress?

AGB provides the best experience: from the welcome sign outside the door, to the staff going above and beyond to make you feel special and making sure you find the dress of your dreams. I had gone to other bridal stores and none of them compare to AGB for dress selection and experience.

How did you feel on your wedding day?

I was a mix of emotions. I was excited, nervous, scared, and happy all rolled into one.

Did you incorporate anything special in your wedding that reflects you as a couple? For example, an intimate first look, a special first dance, or your own written vows? Tell us all the details!

We did a intimate first touch with a prayer before the ceremony. We wrote our own vows for the ceremony and did a love lock unity where we took the keys to Paris with us on our honeymoon and threw them in a river there.

Are there any special moments that specifically stick out in your mind from your wedding day?

My husband reading his vows to me. I can hear every word clearly still and see the expression on his face as he looked at me and spoke those words.

What was the groom’s reaction like when he first saw you?

He was in a state of wow. He even mouthed the word wow as I was walking down the aisle and then instantly broke out into a big grin.
