Logan and Madelene’s Old Mill Farm wedding photos are going to warm your heart! Before you take a peek at their special day below, here are some fun facts about this sweet couple.

They met at Liberty University. It was Madelene’s first full day on campus, and she got lost looking for her hall. Logan helped her out and they have been inseparable ever since.

They had been writing letters back and forth since their first week of dating. So, for the proposal, Logan wrote Madelene multiple letters and hid them in significant places. Then, he planned a scavenger hunt to propose to Madelene. The last letter was hidden at the Liberty Monogram, where the two hiked on their first date. There, he got down on one knee, and their friends popped out of the bushes taking pictures. How sweet is this?!

The Wedding Dress

“I loved my trip to Ashley Grace Bridal! My mom, sister, grandmas, and mother-in-law all traveled in to go shopping with me. It made for a fun girls’ day! While I tried on multiple dresses, I knew that I had found my dress when I put it on. The staff at Ashley Grace were helpful and kind, and really added to our experience. I will recommend them to any of my friends getting married!”

Did you incorporate anything special in your wedding that reflects you as a couple?

“Our wedding was anything but traditional. Logan and I decided to have our ceremony at 10:30 am followed by a coffee hour, and a brunch reception. At our first look, Logan gave me a letter that he had written, and I gave him a journal that I had been writing to him since high school (before we met). My grandfather married us, and our first act as husband and wife was to take communion together. While we took pictures, our guests enjoyed lawn games and espresso drinks from a coffee truck. After the special dances, speeches, brunch, cake, and donuts, we enjoyed talking to those who had come to support us from near and far. The day was everything we had hoped, and we could not have done it without our friends, family, and vendors.”

Are there any special moments that specifically stick out in your mind from your wedding day?

“One of my favorite moments from the day was right after Logan and I were seated for brunch. We looked around and saw our loved ones enjoying themselves and supporting us; friends and family are beautiful gifts, and we are so grateful for them all.”
