HOW THEY MET
“We met at a cabin in 2011 in Big Island, through mutual friends. We started hanging out because he said he could fix a broken hose in my car. He did fix the hose in my car (so my dad immediately started to like him) and we hung out off and on until we started “officially” dating in 2012. We had our first kiss at that same cabin and he brought me back there for a romantic dinner for our 1st anniversary! Who knew that silly little car could have led me to the perfect man I now call my husband?!”
THEIR ENGAGEMENT STORY
“Josh called my boss and got my schedule switched around so that he could take me up to the parkway for a picnic to watch the eclipse. There was a photographer at the lookout where we parked at. So, naturally, I thought maybe he was going to propose there. It ended up just being a coincidence! Haha! Then, on the way down, we stopped at the Peaks of Otter lodge and walked around the pond. He got down on one knee on the dock and then both of our moms popped out of the woods! Instead of saying YES, I yelled FINALLY!!”
Morgan’s dress shopping experience.
“It was a last minute decision to go look at dresses the day we went. I had always envisioned making it a whole day of dress shopping with my mom, sister, future mother-in-law, and grandma. I wasn’t expecting to find a dress the night we just “went to look” but I still wanted everyone there just in case.
Also, I had no idea what type of dress I wanted, so we pulled a bunch of dresses. I ended up finding the most incredible dress and it was the second one I tried one. I knew it was the ONE when my sister (who is not emotional at all) cried the moment I walked out.
I was so happy to spend that evening with 3 of my favorite people in the world. It was even more special because I was the only bride in the shop that evening. It was an experience I’ll never forget!”
What was the groom’s reaction like when he first saw you?
“He just grinned from ear to ear. All day/night he told me how beautiful I looked and how pretty my dress was. It made me so happy to know how much he loved my dress!”
What was the process like planning your Old Mill Farm wedding?
“Our vendors were all incredible. They all made everything so easy and stress free. Each of the vendors that we dealt with shared a part in making our day so perfect. Old Mill Farm is such a beautiful venue and the people there are incredible. They went above and beyond for us to help make our wedding day a dream come true. They truly make you feel like family!”
