Another royal wedding is on the way. On May 19th, 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be wed at Windsor Castle in England.

There will be a carriage procession, a service, and two wedding receptions. The service will begin at 12 am (7 am ET) and Meghan will arrive at 11:59 am. Traditionally, the bride rides with her father to the wedding ceremony, but Meghan has broken tradition and chosen her mother to be with her instead. Harry has chosen William to be his “best man”, which also breaks royal protocol, as royals do not have a “best man” but a “supporter”. At the royal wedding, a tribute will be made to Princess Diana, as her siblings will be invited.

Ralph and Russo are rumored to be designing Meghan Markle’s ceremony gown for the royal wedding. Other rumors say that Erdem and Christopher Bailey are in the running, but nothing is official. Meghan has worn a wedding dress before in her previous marriage and has worn a gown on her show Suits. In an interview, Meghan talks about how the wedding dress she wore on Suits is not far from what she would wear in real life. She wants a dress that is “classic and fairytale”. Her wedding dress in Suits was an embroidered, plunging V-necked A-line gown by Anne Barge. However, now that Meghan is marrying a royal, she will wear a gown that is more modest. She will likely wear something embroidered, detailed, while being modest and subtly sexy.

Regardless of who designs Meghan’s gown, it will be less expensive than the Duchess of Cambridge’s Alexander McQueen gown, due to royal etiquette. The Queen must also approve of Meghan’s dress, as it should fit the venue and the occasion. While she must follow royal protocol in some areas, it is expected for Meghan to break tradition and have her own spin on her wedding dress and beauty look. In years past, Queen Elizabeth and the Duchess of Cambridge have worn their hair down in soft curls. As seen in royal engagements and in interviews, Meghan wears her hair loosely curled in layers that frame her face. She has even worn a low bun with face framing pieces. She is not afraid to wear her hair how she wants and may break tradition and have her hair up on her wedding day.

Whatever Meghan Markle wears, she will look beautiful and the world will be watching as she marries Prince Harry.
