Giveaway of a FREE Justin Alexander or Lillian West wedding gown!
As part of our Grand Opening Celebration in February, the week culminated with the giving away of a FREE Justin Alexander or Lillian West wedding gown! Yes – you read that correctly! One lucky bride would win her wedding gown! All the bride had to do was make an appointment and try on a Justin Alexander or Lillian West gown, and then she was entered into the drawing for the free wedding dress from this fabulous designer.
The day finally came when the lucky bride was selected. There was so much anticipation after weeks of talking with brides about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! After our fashion show, the bride’s name was anonymously chosen from all of the entries. This wasn’t just any bride; however, the winner was also Miss Virginia!
Miss Virginia’s Story
Courtney Garrett was named Miss Virginia in 2014. Not only that, but she also was titled first runner-up in the Miss America 2015 pageant. Courtney, who is marrying the love of her life later this fall, was overjoyed when we called to let her know she had been selected as the winner of the Lillian West wedding dress! Her immediate response to the unexpected news was to pray to see what God wanted her to do with the free wedding dress since she had already said yes to her dress.
After taking some time to pray about what to do with the free Lillian West dress, she sensed that she had been given this opportunity in order to bless someone else with it. It was just a matter of to whom!
Meanwhile, Courtney’s roommate was talking with a friend at work who’s also getting married. She discovered that the young bride had a smaller budget and had not yet found her dress after searching at other local shops. Courtney began to pray, and she soon sensed that this indeed was the bride. When Katie, the bride, heard that she was going to be given a free Lillian West wedding dress, she couldn’t believe it! She was amazed that someone she didn’t even know would be willing to do that for her.
At the end of April, Courtney and Katie arrived at Ashley Grace Bridal, meeting for the very first time! Along with the help of their mutual friend, Katie soon found her dream wedding dress for her special day! Katie is getting married this June, and she feels so blessed! Congrats, Katie!
Finally, we want to thank our Justin Alexander and Lillian West sales representative, Bill Perrett, for donating one of their stunning gowns to our store for our Grand Opening Celebration. Also, a huge thank you to Courtney Garrett for her generous gift to a fellow bride! Both Bill and Courtney’s generosity and kindness have touched all of our hearts here at Ashley Grace!
