Let’s chat about destination weddings! Have you thought about taking your wedding celebration to a new location?! Do you dream of getting married in an elegant venue in Italy or a sunny beach in Jamaica? If you and your significant other desire a dreamy backdrop and a multi day celebration with your closest friends and family, a destination wedding might just be for you!

Destination weddings can be cost effective! All inclusive resorts offer all the amenities for you for a fraction of a traditional wedding. Consider your guests willingness and ability to travel. If a guest attends the wedding, they are more than willing to even make a vacation out of attending your ceremonies and create a fun weekend trip!

From exotic tropical paradise to mountain peak ceremonies, the destination is all up to you!

Here are some things to consider as you weigh your (seemingly endless) wedding options!

1. Wedding Insurance

Travel brings with it some risks, so be sure you and your groom invest in wedding insurance to cover any unexpected circumstances!

2. The Officiant

Be sure that the officiant you’d like at your ceremony has the proper certifications. If you plan on getting married at a resort, they often have local officiants that they can provide.

3. The Dress (of course!)

Many destination weddings include adventurous aspects, so be sure the dress you pick is going to be comfortable and pack-able! Be sure you can safely and carefully bring your wedding dress with you, and that it won’t tear while you adventure! We recommend lightweight a-line wedding dresses for destination weddings that have English net, tulle, or organza skirts. Whether you opt for lace and romance, boho elopement, or a classic and elegant style, try taking a few laps in it at your bridal shop before you say “yes.”
