1. Shop Early
Custom gowns can take between four to eight months to create. Don’t putt off dress shopping too long, or otherwise you might be limited to the selection of dresses you can pick from. So, give yourself a little bit of cushion so you don’t have to make a rushed decision when it comes to saying yes! to your dream dress. Once you find your perfect gown, you’ll need a few weeks to schedule alterations and fittings.
2. Shop on a Weekday
Like most bridal shops, our busiest times at Ashley Grace Bridal are weekends. By booking a weekday slot you’ll ensure that we have enough openings to accommodate you and give you the best shopping experience we possibly can. It’s worth using some personal time from work to avoid having to wait for a dress that is being tried on by someone else.
3. Wear the Right Undergarments
It can be hard to envision what a strapless gown will really look like on you if you wear a shaping camisole or bodysuit. While wearing shapewear is advisable, make sure they are a nude color and they are strapless. This will help you visualize what the gown will look like once it’s been tailored.
